VC-MP on Steam

Does VC-MP work with the Steam version of VC? I have installed it and put it in the GTAVC directory in the Steam folder and clicked VC-MP and found the VC.exe and say I click Official it just loads and when I click the VC-MP client it says not responding, do I want to close? Any solutions?

Re-download vc-mp from www.vicecitymultiplayer.com and install.

You most likely have an older version of the mod, post back and tell us if it works on the steam version, haven't tried it myself.  :)

The Steam version of Vice City does work with VC-MP however you need a 1.0 exe and i cant give those out here so i'll just tell ya how to get it working

1. Download Vice City via Steam
2. Download/Get a 1.0 exe
3. Rename the original Steam VC exe to something else (e.g gta-vc2.exe)
4. Place the 1.0 exe (with the original name (gta-vc.exe)) in Steam\steamapps\common\grand theft auto vice city
5. Run vcmp.exe and select a server :)

Right, I have done your instructions. Got the 1.0, which I think it is anyway but I double click on vcmp.exe, it comes up and I click official so that I find Littlewhiteys and it loads and if you click on the vcmp client it says (not responding) and then it finally loads but no servers come up. I have redirected the vcmp to the new exe but no luck.

By the way the client 0.3z

Can you rephrase that? Sounds contradicting. You say you click the "Official" tab and then Littlewhiteys comes up on the list. Then you say that no servers are coming up on the list.

Maybe your clicking "LC:MP" ? instead of "Internet"
